Having 3 days holiday consequently due to International Women's Day (replacement on Monday), its been like more than 3 weeks I did not go out from the block except to hospital for classes (that was my last post). And I had 1 week insomnia, unable to sleep during night time, and thus I sleep for more than 10 hours day time during this holiday, since I don't have to travel for classes. And that is why I have mood for cooking today haha. Today's recipe : Crispy Butter Prawn (also known as Nai Yau Har).
Ingredients :
1) Butter
2) Oil For Frying
3) Grated Coconut or 8-10 Egg Yolks
4) 2 Stalks Curry Leaves
5) 5 Bird's Eye Chilies
6) Medium To Large Size Prawn
7) Sugar & Salt To Taste
Steps :
1) Clean the prawn, remove the head and devein.
2) Coat the prawn with flour batter and bring to deep fry.
3) Remove & set aside.
4) Melt the butter, add bird's eye chilies, curry leaves, salt and fry until fragrant. Add egg yolk and stirring frequently until dry in medium heat.
5) Add prawn and serve.
Optional = Evaporated Milk, Chinese Rice Wine.
And besides, today is my dad's birthday. Sent him sms early in the morning and I called home. Because today is Monday and its a working day, thus dad celebrates his bday eating out with mum and grandma =) And at last, Happy Birthday Daddy~! Wishing you healthy & happiness *Missing Home Badly*
